Player Registration Open

Jul 22, 2022

FA's Club Portal available to register players

The Player Registration system has re-opened. Please inform the relevant Officer/s in your Club. Authorised Club and Team Officers are now able to register players with SSYFL for the 2022/23 season by submitting player records to the League for approval.

All players intending to participate in SSYFL in 2022/23 must be submitted to the League in the PR system for registration approval. This includes existing players who participated in SSYFL last season and new players joining this season. Approval to play for a team in the League does not roll-forward automatically to the next season.

When registering players please note the following points supported by SSYFL and FA rules:

Minimum number of players to be registered by 31st August

  • U7, U8 Teams = 5
  • U9,U10, U11/12 Girls Teams = 7
  • U11/U12 Mixed Teams = 9
  • U13-U18 Teams = 11

Providing a player is eligible to play for a Team in all other respects..…..

  1. Development age groups U7 to U11 & U11/12 Girls - A player may be registered for one or more Teams from the same Club (but not different Clubs) playing in the same SSYFL age group
  2. Competitive age groups U12-U18 – A player may only be registered for one Team playing in a SSYFL age group

We’re joining in with the first National Silent Support Weekend to promote Respect in Youth Football, and our teams and clubs will play an important part. We’re encouraging spectators and coaches to show their support during the match through applause only. This will reduce pressure and confusion and give players a better opportunity to find their own voice and develop their game. So, all you have to do is not talk, you can applaud good play from both teams, and then tell us your thoughts about the experience so we can feed into a national campaign to make improvements for the future. A digital link to a survey will be shared after the weekend for you to fill in to collect this information. Join us and play your part on Silent Support Weekend 5 th and 6 th November 2022.
